I would like to begin by thanking Mayor Steve Martin for taking his community’s issues and making them his top priority. I am humbled to be helping my community along side him to bring healing and prosperity back to our community.

As an immigrant to Paso Robles in 1992 I quickly learned our community is full of generosity and build on family values and morals. From the moment we stepped foot in Paso Robles my mother began to tell my sister and I in this country “we will work hard for what we want”, words I will never forget. While my mother worked day and night we found refuge in a program that was establish in our neighborhood called the Paso Robles Rec Club ran by Vicky Jeffcoach. We learned the importance of being an asset to your community, never looking at one’s race or ethnicity but instead to leading with integrity. We learned to work hard as we parked cars for our counties mid-state fair. Our reward was a big trip to the snow or six flags where everything was paid for with the money we would gather from the parking cars. As I entered middle school I started to realize that my neighborhood was looked at as the bad part of town something I would have never known thru my grade school years because it was the best parts of my childhood I had love, support, and learned core values of work from a young age.

With sixteen years in the banking industry I bring problem solving, communication skills, bilingual skills, and teamwork to this panel. I am excited to contribute to the community that at one time made it a point to welcome any one our town. I look forward to take into action the mission, the vison, and the programs that will arise from our diversity panel .
